Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Calls for International Intervention to Stop Israeli Restrictions on Religious Freedom at Al-Aqsa Mosque During the Holy month of Ramadan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates warns against the policies and measures of the occupation aimed at limiting the access of worshipers to Jerusalem for prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan. It considers these actions a blatant violation of the right of citizens to freedom of worship and to access places of worship. These measures also represent a continuation of the occupation’s aggression against our people and an attempt to impose changes by force on the political, historical, and legal realities in the occupied land in general, and in Al-Aqsa in particular. This is part of an ongoing effort to solidify its temporal division, with the aim of eventually dividing it spatially, if not demolishing it and building the so-called Temple in its place.

The Ministry continues its international efforts to expose these violations against Christian and Islamic holy sites, the workers, and the worshipers. It calls for urgent international intervention to protect these sites and ensure the freedom of worship for Palestinian citizens.
